Campgrounds

Park your campervan in one of the numerous camp grounds throughout the country and enjoy the lovely scenery that surrounds most camp grounds. Many camps open on to beaches, tidal inlets, rivers, lakes or some are deep in the heart of native forests. You will love the evening swims in the mineral hot pools as part of some camp ground facilities. Great for family fun, or just relaxing.
All facilities have to apply to a very high hygiene standard. Friendly management will always stop and chat about the surrounding district and share their knowledge of the area. These always include kitchens, showers, toilets, laundries, cabins and power connections for campervans and waste water facilities are available in most of the complexes.
On collection of your campervan, Adventure Deluxes' friendly staff will provide you with 2 separate maps showing you the 'Kiwi Camps' and the 'Top Ten Group of Camps'. These show you the positioning of the camps which allows you to easily plan your itinerary.

Freedom Camping

It is possible to "freedom camp" throughout New Zealand, and Adventure Deluxe Campervans are designed to allow this throughout the year with the provision of gas heating and hot water systems in all models except the Hi-Top.
There are numerous magical spots nearby to lakes, streams and beach frontage which can be best enjoyed by freedom campers. Fishermen wanting to keep their favourite spot and those looking for peace and tranquility love to take advantage of the opportunity to overnight camp independently of a campground facility.
Also there are a series of Department of Conservation (DOC) camps in remote areas that provide beautiful camp settings but sometimes offer only limited facilities
